I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
